Jason is here :)
It's been two weeks since I last saw him. And I couldn't have been happier when he walked through the door. We were on our way to look at mens wedding rings when he pulled out a large, square gift from the back seat of the car. He told me it was the first gift for our home. Cute, huh? So I opened it slowly and... it was a RICE COOKER! I was so stoked. Only 24 hours prior I was complaining about cooking rice on the stove and I had told Jason more than once that we HAVE to put a rice cooker on the registry. Not anymore! Hooray!
The ring shopping went pretty well- Jason has found what he likes. Now the trick is to find the store with the cheapest form of that ring. After shopping we used up a gift card at Red Lobster. Lobster pizza, clams, scallops, crab stuffed mushrooms, and a gooey chocolate lava cookie. Following this was a visit with his family and the movie "Failure to Launch." Great night :)
So why did I choose a rice cooker as Reason 24 that life is good?
1- It was our first wedding present
2- It was extremely thoughtful of Jake to get that for me and let me use it now.
3- I hate cooking rice on the stove.
